About Me
My Journey
From Mechatronics Engineering to Web Development
The Beginning
First discovered the magic of turning ideas into reality through code. My first contact with code was C lang at college, where I built simple console applications.
Diving into Web Development
What began as experimenting in my first internship with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL grew into a full-blown passion for building things on the web.
I learned to love the web's endless possibilities and the joy of creating interactive experiences. That time CakePHP was my first framework love! Some of them are still online nowadays, a fact that makes me proud!
Hardware Deep Dive
Dove deep into mechatronics engineering in a 2-year scientific initiation project. Picture this: writing Assembly code at 3 AM to control mechanical machines with 8051 microcontrollers.
Getting my hands dirty with hardware, earning a scientific scholarship. It was like learning the ancient language of machines. I loved every bit of it, mainly when I started communicating computers with real stuff, like motors and sensors! 🤖
Software Foundations
Web Development called me again and I answered by diving into C#, VB and SQLServer adventures during my Bachelor's.
I had the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from desktop applications to web services, which solidified my understanding of software development principles and best practices.
An embedded application was also on my way to bridge my love for hardware and software, there I was working with C and Microchip microcontrollers connecting RFID tags and printers.
Robot Whisperer
The dream of combining software and hardware led me to pursue a Master's in Robotics. I found myself building an open-source UI to control robots using ROS during my Master's.
Nothing quite like seeing a robot follow your commands for the first time! I ended up working with C++ and Python to bring those robots to life. I finished my Master's thesis creating a human-robot interaction open-source project, which was a thrilling experience! 🚀
The Big Leap
Joined a Spanish startup called TheConstructSim, where Vue.js, ROS, Python, Django, and AWS became my new playground.
Teaching robots through simulation, building cloud-based platforms—it was the perfect blend of my two worlds. I helped developing the platform to reach students around the world and also creating courses and videos to teach robotics and programming. That period was fundamental to shape who I am today!
Living the Dream
Working as a software consultant at Prediktive. I am 100% of the time dedicated to one big client where I feel really challenged and motivated. Crafting innovative solutions with Vue.js and FastAPI connected via microservices.
As Vue.js mentor at Toptal, from time to time I help other developers with Vue.js questions and keep the community up to date with the latest releases and events to attend.
From controlling machines with Assembly to orchestrating containers in the cloud—it's been quite the ride! 🚀
